Our Monday to Friday consultations only take place between 08.00-10.00 and 16.00-19.00 however our phone lines are manned at all times from 08.00-19.00, should you need us.

Our phones are always manned during our opening hours, so we're only ever a call away if you need us. If you've never used us before, a member of our friendly team will be there to take some quick details from you and walk you through the registration process.

As required by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, we're obligated to ensure any vet who practice on our clients' animals holds a degree in veterinary medicine from an accredited university. Burnt Ash Veterinary Clinic is managed by our director, Mr Gregory Thorogood BVM&S MRCVS, who is a registered vet surgeon with the RVCS. We're currently a one vet practice, so it will be Gregory who will be treating your pet if you book an appointment.
Ultrasound and orthopaedic surgery
At Burnt Ash Veterinary Clinic, our vets have access to advanced equipment that allows us to treat your pets on our own premises. Having facilities like ultrasound scanners can make a huge difference. For instance, when scans or surgery are required at some veterinary practices, you might get referred to a specialist hospital, therefore, this could mean more waiting and uncertainty. We're proud to have invested in a fully equipped orthopaedic surgery, so if required, animals can be treated ASAP.
At Burnt Ash Veterinary Clinic, your pet is our priority. If your pet's unwell, we understand the stress that this can cause. Having an experienced and compassionate animal lover to speak to can go a long way to help. We want to make registering or booking an appointment as easy as possible, so we'll be there to guide you every step of the way.

It doesn't matter whether it's your dog, cat or pet hamster; we believe all pets deserve medical attention equally. Therefore, our vet Mr Thorogood is experienced in helping a wide variety of animals such as:

Covid Compliant
Burnt Ash Veterinary Clinic is currently running a closed-door policy. We're meeting and greeting the animals outside, then taking them in without their owners. Before taking your pet, we'll let you know how long we'll be so you can decide whether to leave or wait. Thanks to our on-site car park, you'll even be able to wait in your car while we treat your pet.
Whilst it's yet to be proven that Covid-19 can be spread from pets to humans, it's crucial we continue to follow the latest government guidelines.

Quick appointment although they were fully booked but it was an emergency and they squeezed us in on a Friday. They had Covid 19 safe procedures, very reasonable prices and our cat is 100% better after their treatment. We will be using this vet more regularly for our cat needs.
